Gagarin

Performer, Mover, Biter ;)

Hi! I’m Gagarin! I’m an artist whose creativity lives at the intersection of Theatre, Dance, and Kink. I believe that the Theatre is a sacred place in which we can collectively re-encounter our bodies and the world.

My process is highly physical and draws inspiration from SITI Company, John Waters, and Jerzy Grotowski. This creates work that others have described as “silly, sexy, and pretty gross”. Check out the My Work tab for more >:)

Originally hailing from South Jersey, I got my BFA in Acting from Montclair State University in 2020. Over the pandemic I migrated to New York; where I have worked with SITI Company, Blessed Unrest, New Georges & others. I have was also a curator with Expand the Canon for three amazing years, where we worked to establish gender equity in the classical canon (and produced an amazing monologue book)!

When I’m not making stuff I love to read, dance for fun, and drink really good wine made by cool people. :3
